The growing threat of cyber attacks has raised the attention of governments, enterprises, and academics. This risk drives the need of a comprehensive cybersecurity curriculum. This talk shares our experience of developing a cybersecurity program at DePaul University where our school is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Security Agency (NSA). A major challenge in cybersecurity education is the provision of hands-on lab exercises.
