因為開放資料 (Open Data) 已經成為趨勢，勢必有越來越多包含個人資訊的被釋放出來，但也因資料內含個人隱私資訊而有侵犯隱私的嫌疑。因此如何在不侵犯隱私的條件下將具隱私性的資料釋出將是一門值得討論的議題。另外，隨著商業公司藉由其各種的軟體與裝置收集越來越多我們的個人資訊，這也代表著使用者的隱私正在逐漸地被知曉，商業公司如何在不侵犯隱私的條件下收集具隱私性的資料恰巧與上述隱私資料釋出成為一種對比。

Abstract:

Open data is a trend, with the cost of individual privacy violation. Private data release is a technique of sanitizing and releasing the data while ensuring the individual privacy. On the other hand, commercial companies collect individual information such as user behavior to improve their products, thus leading to potential individual privacy breach. Private data collection refers to a technique of collecting high-utility personal information while ensuring the individual privacy. In this talk, I will give an overview of these two techniques and present their recent development.
