演講摘要：
Biometrics verification is admitted as an utmost resort in ensuring the overwhelming security in various applications, especially in multimedia communications. Biometrics capturing devices will become standard equipments in 3C products due to the uniqueness and prevailing characteristics of biometric features for use in personal identification. In this talk, I plan to address the history and evolution of personal identification. Later, I will briefly introduce various the state-of-the-art biometrics verification techniques, such as fingerprint recognition, face recognition, keystroke recognition, hand-based recognition, and gait recognition, etc. Finally, I will conclude the presentation by demonstrating some interesting applications in digital life.
