INTERNATIONAL ADMISSION

To be considered for admission to CSE undergrate and graduate programs (Bachelor Degree Program in Computer Science and Engineering/ Master Degree Program in Computer Science and Engineering/ Master Degree Program in Information Security/ Ph.D. Degree Program in Computer Science and Engineering/ Ph.D. Degree Program in Information Security), international applicants must have foreign nationality and earn a high school diploma (required for Bachelor's degree application), bachelor's degree (required for Master's degree application), or master's degree (required for Ph.D. application) in Department of Computer Science and Engineering or related subjects at schools/universities/colleges approved by the Taiwan Ministry of Education. The qualification of international students is subject to the regulation of the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. Using an e-mail address to register, applicants can access to the application forms online and upload all required documents prior to the deadline.

  • Language Requirements 

        For Undergraduate Programs:

  • English requirement (E) : Minimum English proficiency for non-native English speaking applicants: TOEFL score iBT-TOEFL of 61 / IELTS of 6.5.
  • Chinese requirement (C) : Minimum Chineseproficiency: TOCFL score level 3 or New HSK score level 5 or certificate(s) indicating a minimum of 480 hours of Chinese learning in Taiwan (or a minimum of 960 hours abroad). 

       For Graduate Programs:

  • English requirement (E) : Minimum English proficiency for non-native English speaking applicants: TOEFL score iBT-TOEFL of 80 / IELTS of 7.0.
  • Chinese requirement (C) : Minimum English proficiency: TOCFL score level 3 or New HSK score level 5; or certificate(s) indicating a minimum of 480 hours of Chinese learning in Taiwan (or a minimum of 960 hours abroad). 
  • Required documents 
  • Bachelor Program:
  1. Study Plan in Chinese or English.
  2. Autobiography.
  3. Proofs of Language requirements (E) and (C).
  4. Documents showing the applicant's professional skills, education, experiences, achievements, and etc.
  • Master & Doctoral Programs:
  1. Two (2) recommendation letters (sealed and signed).
  2. Autobiography.
  3. Proofs of Language requirement (E) and (C).
  4. Study Plan (Including research proposal) .
  5. Master Thesis. Draft or equivalent works are acceptable if master thesis is not available. (required for Ph.D. application)
  6. Documents showing the applicant's professional skills, education, experiences, achievements, etc.
